Children's Ministries

Research by the Barna Research Group, Ltd shows that if a person does not accept Jesus Christ as savior before the age of 14, the likelihood of him/her ever doing so is marginal. It goes on to state, "the years prior to age 12 are when a majority of children make their decision as to whether or not they will follow Christ" (www.barna.org). Wow! This makes ministry to children all that more important.

While physical growth and learning are important aspects of a person, spiritual growth is also crucial. We believe church and home are important in providing the strong foundation upon which children build their Christian faith. Cannon provides a variety of activities from formal classroom instruction to fun events--all designed to help our children grow as God intended.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." At Cannon we believe every child should have the opportunity to participate in the body of Christ. We hope you and your family will make an effort to discover all Cannon has to offer. Our dedicated teachers, workers, and staff work hard to go that extra mile to make our ministry to children something exciting and spiritual.

Cannon's vision is to make Children's Ministry the BEST hour of a child's week.

Our mission is to supplement the family in reaching kids and helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Vision: Children's Ministry would like to empower teachers, volunteers, and families with the tools and resources necessary to help children become fully devoted followers of Christ. The creative stories of God's word are so powerful that they will carry them through the week.

Cannon Children's Ministry will Glorify God by leading education and resource workshops for volunteers, and teachers to keep children spiritually, emotionally, and physically safe.

Cannon Children's Ministries desire is to Build Believers by providing Bible studies and child related workshops for families to help them Make A Difference in their children's lives and to Make A Difference for Jesus Christ.

Cannon Children's Ministry ministers to the community and to the children by offering Sunday, week-day, and mission programs where Biblical truths are taught, in a child targeted, relevant, and creative way so that Christ's message will be with them throughout their lives.
