Children's Ministry Sunday School Teachers

We are requesting Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers and Youth (who are not currently going to Sunday School) to teach 3 year olds thru 5th grade. We also need Substitute Teachers who will teach on a moments notice or a few days advance notice.

Perks:

• Teachers have a choice of what grade they would like to teach.

• Teachers are welcome to teach monthly, quarterly, or all summer (June – August) or teach the entire school year (September – May).

• We have 4 Teachers per class so Teachers can rotate, which gives them a chance to go to an Adult Sunday School class or attend 9:30 Worship service.

• Enjoy receiving gifts of appreciation thoughout the year.

• Enjoy a Teachers Appreciation Coffee/Brunch every quarter of the year.

• Enjoy the great Cokesbury children’s curriculum that is easy and fun to teach.

• Supplies, copies, and most activities are prepared for you in advance.

• Teachers will make a difference in children’s lives.

• Many teachers find their knowledge of the Bible and their own relationship with God grow as they teach.

• The best perk of all is the love you will find from these children and the knowledge that you have been used by God in helping them learn about Jesus Christ.

Qualifications:

• Participation in one of 2 Teacher Trainings
       Summer Training – Sunday, May 4 or Monday, May 5
       Fall Training – Sunday, August 3 or Monday, August 4

• Complete a background check
       Required of everyone working with Children and Youth

• Be active at Cannon for 6 months

• Passion to teach

• Love children

• Share your love of Christ

• Form a relationship with the children you teach

Important Note: For those who feel that they are not experienced in teaching or do not know their Bible well, not to worry…teaching our children’s curriculum will give them a great insight into the Bible. It’s a great way to learn God’s word. That’s how some of us have learned about God’s lasting love for us. Remember when praying for God to be a part of your life; ask Him to be with you as you teach and He will be there all the way. He will give you the knowledge needed to do His work. Have Faith in Him and it works out wonderfully.
